Mieux voter a commandé un sondage à l’institut Opinionway auprès d’un panel représentatif de 962 électeurs sur leurs préférences concernant des candidats à la présidentielle, déclarés ou putatifs. Deux méthodes ont été comparées : le sondage classique équivalent à un premier tour du scrutin uninominal et le jugement majoritaire.

L’étude a été réalisée par OpinionWay les 8 et 9 Décembre 2021 en appliquant les procédures et règles de la norme ISO 20252.

Pour la 1ère fois, le sondage OpinionWay – Mieux Voter a interrogé un même panel représentatif de Français sur leurs intentions de vote aux #présidentielles2022 au scrutin uninominal majoritaire (officiel) et au jugement majoritaire.

Résultats : les équilibres sont bouleversés ! Au jugement majoritaire, Valérie Pécresse arrive en tête devant Emmanuel Macron (alors qu’au jour du sondage, elle l’emportait au second tour face à tous les candidats mais n’était pas certaine d’y accéder), la gauche remonte dans le classement et ZemmourEric se classe dernier, rejeté par 61% des Français.

Une démonstration supplémentaire que le mode de scrutin détermine les thèmes de la campagne électorale aujourd’hui. Le scrutin majoritaire oblige les candidats à cliver pour exister plutôt que de parler au plus grand nombre.

Ce sondage au jugement majoritaire permet de mettre en évidence une défiance des Français vis-à-vis de l’offre politique : aucun candidat n’obtient une mention majoritaire mieux que « Passable ». Tous les candidats sont rejetés par au moins 25% des électeurs et aucun n’est jugé « Excellent » par plus de 7% d’entre eux.

Le jugement majoritaire permettrait de supprimer les artefacts de division des voix générés par le scrutin uninominal. Il s’en suivrait un changement de dynamique à gauche : le candidat de gauche le plus apprécié par les Français est Arnaud Montebourg. Pourtant, il arrive avant-dernier avec le scrutin uninominal majoritaire. Avec le jugement majoritaire, Yves Jadot remonte dans le classement à la 4ème place.

Ce sondage OpinionWay – Mieux Voter a permis de mettre en évidence la forte appétence des Français pour ce nouveau mode de scrutin : 65% des Français seraient favorables à l’adoption du scrutin par jugement majoritaire pour les élections présidentielles !
